What is Demister?

In every process where liquid and gaseous phases interact, gas carries liquid particles with it. These liquid particles cause process inefficiency, product loss and serious technical damage. The processes that clean these particles from the gas are called DEMISTER. Demister designs vary according to the size of the liquid particles to be separated.

Some of these and the liquid particle sizes they can separate;

• Wire mesh type demister, 3-10 micron
• Vane Demister, 10-40 micron
• Fiber bed type demister, 0.1 micron

As MARMARA ENERJİ, we are producing and importing demisters, as well as providing engineering services on demister. 

Why Demister? :  

• It shows 99% efficiency under normal conditions and speed (1-3 m/s or more).
• The pressure loss in the space of 98% and above is negligible.
• Material selection can be made for any required temperature and chemical environment.
• It is convenient and economical to assemble and disassemble the manholes.
• Dimensions are produced according to demand.
• It has a self-cleaning feature and is a semi-permanent product. 

Material Selection;  

Grade 304 Stainless: For water solutions, nitric acid, steam and water.

Grade 316 Stainless: For Fatty Acids, naphtanyl acids and other abrasives,

Carbon Steel: For dry and non-corrosive hydrocarbons,

Copper: For freon and alcohol,

Synthetic Fiber: For Medium Temperature designs
